Your Role Voice & Data Lead Technician
As a Lead Technician, you ll run structured cabling crews on active commercial construction and data center projects. You ll be responsible for execution, quality control, and keeping production on schedule.
You ll lead:
Installation and termination of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic systems
High-level copper and fiber terminations
Fluke testing, certification, and documentation
Rack-and-stack builds and full IDF/MDF room buildouts
Ladder rack, cable tray, and pathway layout
Blueprint interpretation and cable path planning
Data center moves, adds, and changes
Daily crew direction (5 15 technicians depending on project size)
Material tracking and daily reporting to Project Managers

Your Role as Security Lead
As a Security Lead, you will serve as the driving force on-site, coordinating installation teams and ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
This position requires a well-rounded professional who understands all aspects of electronic security installations and can lead from the front.

You will be responsible for:
Leading teams of Helpers, Apprentices, Level I, Level II, and Level III Technicians
Coordinating daily field activities and manpower scheduling
Overseeing installation of Access Control, CCTV, Security Alarm, and Fire Alarm systems
Reading and interpreting blueprints and project drawings
Assisting with system layout and design coordination when needed
Managing materials and job site logistics
Coordinating with General Contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
Tracking project progress and ensuring milestones are met
Ensuring installations meet code requirements and AHJ standards
Supporting Foremen, Superintendents, and upper management with reporting and updates
Driving projects to completion on time and within scope
Your leadership will directly impact the performance and development of your team, helping entry-level Helpers grow into skilled Level III Technicians and future Lead Technicians.

Background Profile:
5+ years of experience in Access Control, CCTV, Security Alarm, and/or Fire Alarm installation
Proven experience leading field installation teams
Strong understanding of life safety and electronic security systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong troubleshooting abilities
Professional customer-facing demeanor
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Certifications are a plus but not required.

Your Role Level II Voice & Data Technician
As a Level II Technician, you ll take ownership of installations and help drive production on commercial and data center projects.
You ll be responsible for:

  • Installing and terminating Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cabling

  • Performing high-level terminations (110 blocks, patch panels, fiber enclosures)

  • Testing and certifying cable using Fluke testers

  • Reading blueprints and identifying cable pathways

  • Installing ladder rack, cable tray, and support structures

  • Leading small crews of 2 5 technicians on active job sites

  • Assisting with rack-and-stack builds and IDF/MDF room organization

  • Supporting data center moves, adds, and changes


What You Bring

  • 2 4+ years of structured cabling / Voice & Data experience

  • Strong fiber termination and testing experience

  • Experience with Fluke testing and documentation

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Experience leading small crews is a plus

  • Knowledge of EIA/TIA standards

  • Comfortable in commercial construction and data center environments

  • Reliable transportation and professional attitude
