Structured Cabling Service Technician Job Description
Responding to service ticket orders and completing work in a timely, professional manner
Coordinating with vendors, end-users, and subcontractors to resolve service issues
Performing system troubleshooting and diagnostics on voice, data, and fiber optic cabling
Supporting MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) work across various client sites
Documenting all service activity in compliance with client and company standards
Maintaining and updating work orders using mobile apps, tablets, or laptops
Scheduling and prioritizing service calls based on urgency and service-level agreements
Interfacing with general contractors, IT staff, and building engineers to support cabling infrastructure.
Installing or replacing patch panels, jacks, cable runs, and network hardware in active environments
Participating in on-call rotation or emergency service as needed.
Basic Requirement:
Must have a Valid Driver s License and own transportation.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Must have all hand/power tools required.
