Your Role as a Structured Cabling Technician: As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of network cabling systems. You will be involved in various projects, ensuring high-quality installations that meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cabling.
Install support structures such as J-hooks, cable slings, and cable trays.
Terminate workstation outlets and closet equipment (110 & 66 blocks, patch panels).
Conduct testing and troubleshooting of network cabling systems.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project success.
Adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Background Profile:
2+ years of experience as a Structured Cabling Technician.
Familiarity with EIA/TIA standards and best practices.
Proficiency in identifying, pulling, and labeling Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cable.
Experience with termination of copper and fiber network cabling.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
