TradeSTAR is hiring Structured Cabling Technicians for multiple client projects throughout Austin and Central Texas. Work with leading contractors on commercial network cabling, data center, and low-voltage installations.
Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling (single-mode & multi-mode).
Build out telecom rooms, MDFs, and IDFs install racks, ladder racks, and cable management.
Terminate patch panels, jacks, and connectors to industry standards (EIA/TIA).
Install J-hooks, cable tray, and conduit systems.
Perform cable certification using Fluke testers or equivalent.
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and riser diagrams.
Collaborate with project leads to ensure timely, quality installations.
Qualifications:
2+ years experience in structured cabling or telecom installation.
Strong understanding of EIA/TIA and BICSI standards.
Proficient with copper and fiber terminations, labeling, and testing.
Experience in data centers, new construction, or retrofit environments preferred.
Valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
