Fiber Optic Technician Job Description:
As a Fiber Optic Technician, your responsibilities will encompass the installation of fiber optic cable. This will include fusion splicing and the termination of anaerobic, LC, ST, and SC connectors. You'll be adept at testing using an OTDR tester and proficient in troubleshooting.
2 5 years of experience in fiber optic cable termination, splicing, and testing.
Proficiency in installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting CAT5e/CAT6 cable.
Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards.
Willingness to travel out of town, with overnight stays within the state of Texas.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Basic Requirements:
Must have Valid Driver s license and own transportation.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
