Structured Cabling Lead Technician Job Description:
Oversee an installation team up to 4 technicians.
Manage daily tasks on new construction and renovation project
Lead a team in installing support structures.
Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
Coordinate the installation of cable tray, J-hooks, and ladder racks.
Rough in and dress IDF/MDF rooms handling up to 1,000+ cables.
Read blueprints and schematics to determine optimal cable paths.
Use Fluke or equivalent testers to certify and troubleshoot cable installations.
Provide progress reports, JSA reports, and time sheets.
Ensure adherence to EIA/TIA standards and customer specifications.
Basic Requirements:
5 + years of experience installing structured cabling.
Must have a Valid Driver s License and own transportation.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
