TradeSTAR is hiring Structured Cabling Technicians for a leading electrical and low voltage contractor supporting projects in Cedar Park and the greater Austin area. With continued growth in tech, commercial construction, and infrastructure, skilled cabling professionals are in high demand.

About the Opportunity
As a Structured Cabling Technician, you ll work on commercial job sites installing and supporting voice and data systems. You ll be part of a team building the backbone of communication systems across offices, facilities, and new construction projects.
What You ll Do
Pull, route, and secure Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
Terminate and test data cables and connections
Install racks, patch panels, j-hooks, and support structures
Read and follow blueprints, floor plans, and schematics
Label and document cabling systems accurately
Maintain a clean and safe job site
Work alongside lead technicians and project teams to complete installs on time
What We re Looking For
1+ years of structured cabling or low voltage experience
Experience with copper terminations (Cat5e/6) and basic testing
Fiber experience is a plus
Ability to read prints and follow instructions
Comfortable working on ladders and in commercial job site environments
Strong work ethic and team mindset
Reliable transportation
