Role: Structured Cabling Technician

As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber optic cabling systems in commercial construction settings. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations meet industry standards and will have the opportunity to lead small on-site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and terminate various types of network cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
• Perform testing to verify proper installation and functionality of cabling systems.
• Interpret blueprints and project plans to determine optimal cable paths.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as EIA/TIA.
• Lead small teams and provide on-site direction as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in low-voltage or structured cabling.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Industry certifications (e.g., BICSI) and manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Panduit, CommScope) are a plus.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
