We are currently seeking Voice/Data Cabling Technicians for an opening with an established communications contractor. Leverage your knowledge of copper and fiber infrastructure to earn top dollar in a hyper-competitive labor market.

Your role

Cabling Technician will be responsible for installing cable supports (j-hook, cable tray), labeling, pulling, and routing voice & data cabling in both new construction and existing commercial, governmental, or light industrial facilities. The technician will review blue prints to determine cable paths and other installation details. The technician may lead small groups of technicians and could be responsible for rough in and trim out of data closets and other distribution points. The structured cabling technician will terminate both copper and fiber cabling at both the user end and distribution.

Background Profile

Dependable with great work ethic

1+ years of experience pulling, terminating, and testing copper and fiber cabling for structured cabling networks or data centers.

Experienced using test equipment such as multimeter, four pair tester, TDR, and OTDR.

Familiar with EIA/TIA standards including T568 A/B copper termination standards.

Proficient using basic hand tools/ power tools.

Comfortable climbing ladders and working from heights.

BICSI certifications and/or product certifications are a plus
