Your Role as a Structured Cabling Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cables.
• Perform diagnostic tests and certifications using industry-standard equipment to ensure system integrity.
• Service and maintain IDF and MDF closets, including patch panels, cable management, and hardware.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to perform accurate installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with clients and project managers to address service needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow safety protocols and industry best practices in all aspects of the job.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 2+ years in structured cabling installation and service, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Fluke testers and other diagnostic tools.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Blueprint Knowledge: Strong ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
• Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure client satisfaction.
• Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends.
