TradeSTAR is currently seeking a Telecom Service Technician for a direct hire role with one of the largest client contractors in the San Antonio TX area. This is a customer facing role requiring customer service skills in addition to structured cabling experience.    

The Service Technician will perform moves, adds, and changes, as well as special projects/ installations working with various types of media and connectivity for communications and security systems.  You will be driving a company vehicle in and around the greater San Antonio area.  This role would also require occasional travel (in Texas) as well as overtime when needed.  Ideal candidates would be experienced technicians seeking an opportunity to grow into a Jr. Project Manager role. 

Background Profile: 

• 3 + years’ experience with Structured Cabling, data networking, Fiber, CCTV, Security, Access Control
• Various types of low-voltage cabling and connectivity.  Examples:  Cat5e, Cat6, Cat 6a, Panduit, Belden, Siemon, Ortronics, Sumitomo, axis, onSSI, exacq)
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills and provide quality customer service.
• Confidently engage with the customer during installation and/or service calls.
• Ability to work as a team player with a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Be able to pass a Drug Screen and a Criminal Background Check
• Valid Drivers License and Clean MVR
