TradeSTAR is partnering with a respected low-voltage contractor seeking a Security & Access Control Superintendent to oversee major commercial installations across the Austin area.

About the Opportunity
As a Security & Access Control Superintendent, you ll oversee field operations on commercial and institutional projects throughout the Austin metro. From ground-up construction to complex retrofits, you ll be the driving force ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and up to standard.
You ll work with project managers, coordinate manpower, and lead skilled technicians in delivering high-level integrated security systems.
What You ll Do
Oversee installation of access control, CCTV, and integrated security systems
Manage and coordinate multiple crews (5 15+ technicians)
Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system layouts
Plan manpower, material staging, and jobsite workflow
Ensure proper installation of:
Card readers, panels, power supplies
Mag-locks, strikes, DPS, panic hardware
Cameras, NVRs, and head-end equipment
Conduct site walk-throughs with clients and GCs
Monitor quality control, productivity, and safety
Provide daily progress reports and coordinate with project management
Qualifications Who You Are
5+ years of commercial security / access control experience
Proven leadership experience managing field crews
Texas Security License (required)
Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
Experience with large-scale commercial construction
Familiarity with major access control platforms (Genetec, Lenel, AMAG, Software House, etc. is a plus)
Ability to manage scheduling, manpower flow, and field logistics
Strong communication skills with GCs and end-users
