Security Camera Technician Job Description:
Install, mount, and configure commercial security camera systems (IP and analog) in retail environments, including indoor and outdoor locations.
Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/fiber as required), ensuring proper labeling, routing, and adherence to structured cabling standards.
Set up and program NVR/DVR systems, network switches, and PoE devices for optimal camera performance and remote viewing capabilities.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure all cameras are properly focused, recording, and network connected.
Work independently or as part of a team to complete retail rollouts on schedule, often coordinating with store managers and other trades on-site.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following all company safety procedures and retail site access protocols.
Basic Requirement:
Previous experience working in retail store environments
Must be able to work nigh shift.
Lift experience and/or certifications
Experience working on scissor lifts since this is all lift work
Ability to read and interpret blueprint readings.
Must have a Valid Driver s License and own transportation.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
