Job Position: Security Technicians
Location: San Antonio, TX 78249
Pay Rate: $24.00-$27.00/hr
Description:TradeSTAR is hiring Security Technicians for commercial low-voltage projects throughout the San Antonio area. We're seeking technicians with intermediate-level experience who can install, service, and troubleshoot commercial security and access control systems while working independently or as part of a team.
Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot commercial security and access control systems.
Install card readers, door contacts, electric strikes, magnetic locks, request-to-exit devices, and related hardware.
Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage cabling.
Assist with controller installation, panel wiring, and system startup.
Perform basic programming and troubleshooting of access control systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
Complete service calls and maintain accurate documentation.
Ensure installations meet project specifications and industry standards.
2+ years of commercial security or access control experience preferred.
Experience with access control hardware and low-voltage cabling.
Familiarity with platforms such as LenelS2, Brivo, Genetec, Avigilon, Verkada, Openpath, or similar systems.
Basic understanding of IP networking and low-voltage wiring.
Ability to troubleshoot field devices and wiring issues.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver's license required.
Competitive pay: $24 $27/hour DOE
