TradeSTAR is partnering with a local integrator seeking Access Control Installers to support commercial projects throughout the Austin area. If you know how to install card access devices, pull cable, and support system setup, this is a strong opportunity to build your career.
About the Opportunity / What You ll Do
You ll work on commercial sites across Austin installing and supporting access control systems, including:
Pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling (Cat6, power, door hardware wiring)
Mounting and installing card readers, door contacts, strikes, and mag locks
Assisting with panel installation, device layout, and system commissioning
Working alongside lead technicians and project managers
Reading basic drawings and following install standards
Ensuring clean workmanship and safe working practices
Qualifications / Who You Are
1 3+ years of access control or low-voltage installation experience
Able to install cable pathways, pull cable, and perform terminations
Familiar with access control hardware, readers, strikes, and controllers
Comfortable on lifts, ladders, and active construction sites
Have basic hand tools, drill/driver, and PPE
Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
