About the Opportunity
TradeSTAR is hiring a skilled Fire Alarm Service Technician to support a life safety contractor servicing commercial and institutional properties throughout the Austin and Central Texas area. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, testing, and ongoing service of fire alarm systems already in place.

What You ll Do
Troubleshoot and service commercial fire alarm systems
Perform inspections, testing, and system repairs
Identify ground faults, device failures, and panel issues
Replace devices, modules, and components as needed
Read and interpret prints, risers, and system documentation
Work with customers and site personnel during service calls
Complete service reports and documentation accurately
Ensure systems remain compliant with NFPA 72 standards
Who You Are
2+ years of hands-on fire alarm service experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Solid understanding of NFPA 72 and fire alarm system operation
Comfortable working independently in the field
Prior installation experience is a plus
NICET certification is a strong plus
Familiar with Austin and Central Texas AHJ requirements
