TradeSTAR is looking for an experienced Low Voltage Security Programmer to join a leading integrator supporting commercial, tech, and institutional projects across the Austin market. If you know how to bring access control and CCTV systems online, solve complex low-voltage issues, and fine-tune system logic, this role puts your technical skill to work on meaningful projects.
What You ll Do
Program and commission low-voltage security systems.
Work with access control, CCTV, and intrusion platforms in commercial environments.
Perform system startup, device testing, and final checkout.
Configure user permissions, schedules, triggers, and system logic.
Troubleshoot low-voltage wiring, IP addressing, network connectivity, and hardware issues.
Interface with installers, lead techs, PMs, and end users to ensure systems operate as designed.
Who You Are
Experienced low-voltage technician specializing in security system programming.
Skilled with major platforms such as LenelS2, Software House, Genetec, Avigilon, Honeywell, or similar.
Strong understanding of access control hardware, readers, panels, controllers, low-voltage wiring, and IP-based video systems.
Comfortable reading plans, wiring diagrams, and risers.
Detail-driven with solid troubleshooting and documentation skills.
