Your Role with the Company: As a Licensed Fire Alarm Technician, you will:

  • Participate in walkthroughs with Fire Marshall.
  • Understand Ohm Meter operation and troubleshooting.
  • Perform high-level troubleshooting, testing, and system certification.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, electrical requirements, and NFPA standards.
  • Know the wiring requirements and protection for fire alarm systems.
  • Have exposure to suppression systems installations.
  • Conduct and document proper fire alarm system testing
  • Understand the basics of signal transmission, voice/alarm communication systems, surveys, maintenance, wiring, evacuation signals, and combination systems.

Background Profile:

  • 2+ years’ experience installing fire alarm cabling, support structure, and equipment in a commercial environment.  Inspection experience preferable.
  • Hold or able to obtain a State of Texas Fire Alarm License.
  • Experience in panel terminations, programming, and testing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA standards related to Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Basic understanding of Ohm Meter operation.
  • Safety-conscious mindset.
  • Availability to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Excellent communicator both written and oral.
