TradeSTAR is seeking experienced Commercial Electricians (3+ years) with a strong background in EMT conduit installation for multiple long-term projects across the Houston area. We partner with some of Texas s top electrical contractors to offer steady, full-time work on high-profile commercial job sites.
This role is ideal for electricians who excel at conduit work and can work independently with minimal supervision.
What We re Looking For
Minimum 3+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
Proven expertise in EMT conduit installation and bending
Valid Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR)
Ability to work independently and lead conduit runs on active job sites
Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and job site safety
Experience with rough-in and trim-out
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Ability to work full-time with overtime as needed
Core Skills EMT Conduit Focus
Advanced EMT bending (offsets, 3-point saddles, 4-point saddles, kicks, back-to-back bends)
Running straight, clean, and level conduit runs (exposed and concealed)
Layout and planning of conduit pathways from blueprints
Installing conduit racks, supports, and strut systems
Accurate measurement, cutting, threading, and reaming of conduit
Experience with hand benders, Chicago benders, and electric/hydraulic benders
Knowledge of proper spacing, securing, and support per NEC standards
Additional Preferred Skills
Blueprint and electrical drawing interpretation
Panel terminations and device installation
Experience running MC cable and other raceway systems
Knowledge of NEC code requirements
Basic troubleshooting and system verification
Ability to mentor apprentices on conduit installation techniques
