Your Role as a Level III Security Access Control Technician:
As a Level III Security Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, service, and integration of enterprise-level security systems. Your leadership and expertise will ensure the successful execution of large-scale access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection projects. Responsibilities include:
Leading and managing installation teams on high-profile commercial security projects.
Installing, programming, and troubleshooting access control panels, biometric readers, mag locks, electric strikes, and intrusion detection systems.
Configuring and integrating IP-based surveillance systems, NVRs, and AI-driven video analytics.
Performing advanced diagnostics, system commissioning, and network troubleshooting.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for complex installations.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and General Contractors to ensure seamless execution.
Training and mentoring junior technicians to enhance their technical skills.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
Background Profile:
5+ years of experience installing and servicing access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems in commercial settings.
Extensive experience with enterprise-level security platforms such as Lenel, AMAG, Genetec, Bosch, Avigilon, Honeywell, or similar.
Expertise in low-voltage wiring, structured cabling, and network security integration.
Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting, system programming, and software configuration.
Strong leadership, team management, and project coordination skills.
Ability to work with network engineers and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
Private Security License, BICSI, NICET, or manufacturer-specific certifications (preferred).
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
