Your Role as a Level II Structured Cabling Technician

As a Level II Technician, you will:

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
• Perform cable pulling, labeling, dressing, and supporting tasks to industry standards.
• Assist with the build-out and termination of IDF and MDF closets, including patch panel installation and cable management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cabling systems, using test equipment to certify installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installations.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to deliver high-quality results.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Experience: 2+ years in structured cabling installation, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optics in commercial environments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cable terminations, testing, and troubleshooting using industry-standard tools such as Fluke testers.
• Blueprint Knowledge: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Problem-Solving: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving system issues.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
