Your Role with the Company

As a Level II Access Control Technician, you will:

  • Install, configure, and maintain access control systems: This includes electronic keypads, card readers, biometric scanners, and magnetic locks.
  • Perform system integration: Work with other security systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, and fire alarms to create a comprehensive security network.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot access control issues: Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve hardware and software problems.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments: Determine optimal equipment placement and integration points for access control systems.
  • Provide technical support and training: Assist clients and team members with technical issues and provide training on system use and maintenance.
  • Adhere to industry standards and best practices: Follow guidelines for installation, maintenance, and safety protocols to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Document project progress and complete necessary paperwork: Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.

Job Requirements

Background Profile

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Access Control Technician: Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining access control systems, including magnetic locks, card readers, and biometric devices.
  • Proficiency in system integration: Knowledge of integrating access control systems with other security systems like CCTV and alarm systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities: Work effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work: Ensure all installations and maintenance activities meet industry standards.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation: Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening: Meet the company's security and safety requirements.
