About the Role
As a Level II Access Control / Security Technician, you will:
Install, pull, dress, and label cabling for access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems
Mount, wire, and assist with configuration of:
o Access control systems (Genetec / Mercury)
o Security cameras (Axis)
o Intrusion systems (Bosch)
Install and support door hardware including strikes, mag locks, and card readers
Terminate and test low-voltage cabling including Cat6 and multi-conductor cable
Assist Lead Technicians with system layout, panel work, and device placement
Perform troubleshooting and system verification with limited supervision
Work as part of a structured team alongside Helpers, Level I, Level III, and Lead Technicians
Support a large-scale commercial grocery installation with defined timelines

Your Background
Ideal candidates typically have:
3+ years of experience installing electronic security systems
Hands-on experience with access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems
Familiarity with Axis cameras, Genetec/Mercury access control, and Bosch intrusion (project-specific)
Knowledge of commercial door hardware and security device wiring
Ability to read prints, risers, and device layouts
Experience working in active commercial construction environments
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed
Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license
Flexibility to work days, nights, or weekends based on project demands
