Your Role as a Security Access Control Technician:
As a Security Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems. Your duties will include:
Installing and terminating access control panels, card readers, mag locks, and door strikes.
Setting up and troubleshooting IP-based surveillance camera systems.
Pulling, labeling, and terminating low-voltage cabling (Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optics).
Integrating security and access control systems with network infrastructure.
Performing system diagnostics, testing, and commissioning.
Working closely with Project Managers and General Contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and meet industry standards.
Background Profile:
2+ years of experience installing and servicing access control, surveillance, and alarm systems in commercial environments.
Experience with brands such as Lenel, AMAG, Bosch, Genetec, or Avigilon (preferred).
Knowledge of structured cabling, low-voltage wiring, and networking fundamentals.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
