Your Role as a Security Access Control Technician:
As a Security Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security systems in commercial, healthcare, education, and government facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
Installing and terminating access control panels, card readers, mag locks, and door strikes.
Configuring and troubleshooting video surveillance systems, IP cameras, and NVRs.
Pulling, labeling, and terminating low-voltage cabling (Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optics).
Integrating security, access control, and alarm systems with network infrastructure.
Performing system diagnostics, testing, and commissioning.
Working closely with Project Managers and General Contractors to ensure project completion and compliance with industry standards.
Background Profile:
2+ years of experience installing and servicing access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems in commercial environments.
Experience with Lenel, AMAG, Genetec, Bosch, Avigilon, or other enterprise-level security systems (preferred).
Familiarity with structured cabling, low-voltage wiring, and network integration.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
