Your Role with the Company: As a Level I Fire Alarm Technician, you'll be an essential member of our team, responsible for a range of vital tasks, including:

• Collaborating effectively within a team to efficiently install cables using J hooks, bridle rings, conduit, and various support structures.
• Demonstrating proficiency in basic device terminations, which includes connecting strobes, pull stations, smoke detectors, and the selection of suitable outlet/junction boxes, cable, and conduit.
• Applying your knowledge of Ohm Meter operation to assist in basic testing and troubleshooting.
• Possessing a fundamental understanding of various fire alarm systems, electrical requirements, alarm initiating devices, control functions, alarm indicating appliances, and more.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards related to fire alarm installation, including key terminology such as "shall" and "should," as well as the role of the "authority that has jurisdiction."
• Ensuring compliance with wiring requirements and taking steps to protect wiring for fire alarm systems.

Background Profile: To excel in this role, you should ideally bring the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in installing fire alarm cabling, support structures, and equipment in a commercial environment.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards as they relate to Fire Alarm Systems.
• A basic understanding of Ohm Meter operation.
• A strong commitment to safety.
• Flexibility to work during days, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• The ability to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check.
