About the Opportunity

Our client is an established technology infrastructure contractor with decades of experience delivering structured cabling, fiber optic, and commercial audio-visual solutions. With an expanding portfolio of commercial construction and data center projects, they're growing their team with experienced leaders who are committed to quality, safety, and project success.
What You'll Do
As a Lead Voice & Data Technician, you'll oversee field installations while providing technical leadership and mentorship to your crew.
Responsibilities include:
Lead commercial structured cabling installations from start to finish
Supervise Helpers and Level I, Level II, and Level III Technicians
Coordinate daily work activities, material staging, and crew assignments
Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling systems
Install equipment racks, cabinets, ladder rack, patch panels, and cable management systems
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and telecommunications drawings
Ensure all work meets project specifications, industry standards, and quality expectations
Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to maintain project schedules and deliver successful installations
Mentor developing technicians while promoting a safe, organized, and productive job site
What We're Looking For
3 5+ years of commercial structured cabling or network infrastructure experience
2+ years of experience leading installation crews on commercial projects
Experience with copper and fiber optic installation, terminations, testing, and troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of commercial telecommunications infrastructure and industry best practices
Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and technical documentation
BICSI certification is a plus
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
