Your Role as a Security Access Control Lead Technician:

As a Lead Security Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians and ensuring the successful installation and servicing of electronic security systems. Your duties will include:
Installing, terminating, and troubleshooting access control panels, key card readers, mag locks, and electric strikes.
Configuring and testing IP-based surveillance cameras, NVRs, and AI-driven security analytics.
Pulling, labeling, and terminating low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber optics, coaxial, etc.).
Overseeing the installation and integration of security and access control systems with building automation networks.
Performing system diagnostics, testing, and commissioning to ensure proper functionality.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to lead projects effectively.
Training and mentoring junior technicians while ensuring all work is completed to industry standards.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and General Contractors to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Background Profile:

3-5+ years of experience installing and servicing access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems in commercial environments.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to manage and train a team.
Experience working with platforms such as Lenel, AMAG, Genetec, Bosch, Avigilon, Honeywell, or similar.
Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring, structured cabling, and network security integration.
Ability to troubleshoot system issues, configure software, and program security devices.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, testing equipment, and computer-based diagnostics.
Ability to work in various environments, including offices, hospitals, schools, and industrial sites.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
BICSI, NICET, or manufacturer-specific certifications (preferred).
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
