About the Role:

As a Lead Fire Alarm Technician, you will oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in commercial and institutional settings. You’ll lead a team of technicians, ensuring that all fire alarm systems are installed according to code and function flawlessly to protect lives and property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team in the installation, testing, and servicing of fire alarm systems, including panels, detectors, and associated hardware.
• Ensure all fire alarm installations comply with local, state, and national fire codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 72).
• Program and configure fire alarm panels, ensuring proper integration with other building systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on fire alarm systems to maintain optimal performance.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians, focusing on safety standards and technical skills.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, and service activities.

Background Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including panels, detectors, and NFPA 72 standards.
• Experience with fire alarm panel programming and configuration.
• FAL (Fire Alarm License) is preferred; NICET certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
