Your Role as a Lead AV Technician:
As a Lead Audio/Visual Technician, you will oversee AV installations in commercial environments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to industry standards. Responsibilities include:
Leading and managing a team of AV installers.
Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting audio, video, and control systems.
Mounting and terminating projectors, displays, speakers, and AV racks.
Pulling, labeling, and terminating Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cables.
Coordinating with Project Managers and General Contractors.
Conducting system tests and providing final commissioning.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Background Profile:
3-5+ years of experience as an AV Technician, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in AV system installation, termination, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, AMX, and other AV control systems.
Familiarity with structured cabling and low-voltage wiring.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and AV drawings.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
