Your Role as a Lead Access Control Technician

 As an Access Control Lead Technician, you will:

• Supervise teams of Installation colleagues and oversee their work and installations.
• Provide feedback and assistance with interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Manage performance and project budgets.
• Oversee subcontractor selection process and work.
• Act as the primary contact with customers and internal colleagues, providing technical installation support and training.
• Train less experienced Electrical Installers.
• Handle more complex issues escalated from less-experienced colleagues.
• Provide guidance and training for manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment repairs.
• Collaborate closely with Project Manager and/or Operations Manager for overall installation coordination.
• Make recommendations for work quality and scope changes to enhance customer satisfaction.

Background Profile:

• Minimum five years experience installing commercial access control systems.
• Construction skills and understanding of system plans.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and design drawings, including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable supports.
• Strong customer focus and ability to thrive under pressure.
• Proficiency with various hand and power tools.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
