Your Role with the Company 

The Journeyman Electrician works directly with the Master Electrician to provide electrical services to our customers.  This electrician will be servicing and supporting customers at their locations.  Service tasks including, but not limited to, electrical diagnosis, wire pulls, wire terminations, electrical installation, hardware installation, housekeeping, and service calls.  Solid working knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems.  Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a journeyman electrician.

Background Profile

• Must be equipped with basic electrical tools (Wire strippers, lineman pliers, voltage testers, impact drills, screwdrivers, etc.) as well as being capable of handling power tools (Hammer drills, rotary saws, etc.) Must also understand safety & usage of ladders & scissor lifts.
• Must have appropriate PPE gear for potential construction site jobs. 
• Installing electrical outlets in appropriate locations including Sheetrock, brick walls, concrete walls, wood walls, etc.
• Understanding & handling of Type MC cable ran inside commercial walls & above ceilings. Appropriately secure, connected, & clean.
• Ability to locate 120V power sources & securely add branches to existing circuits. 
• Must be comfortable with handling electrical panels & installing new circuits if needed.
• Must have a basic knowledge of running conduit/raceway as well as knowing how to bend offsets, 90° turns, saddles, kicks, etc. 
• Must have a reliable means of transportation & be willing to drive between multiple jobs if needed.
• Must be able to cooperate & communicate with fellow electricians, AV workers, project managers, customers, etc. to achieve the goals set for each job.
• Must be able to pass a background check & drug test provided by school districts for badging purposes. 
• Must be flexible to anticipate change of scheduling between morning, evening, & night shifts. Any scheduling issue must be communicated to the electrical manager.
