Job Position: Fire Sprinkler Apprentices & Fitters

Pay Rate: $18-$32/hr

TradeSTAR is partnering with a leading life safety contractor to bring on Fire Sprinkler Apprentices and experienced Fitters for commercial projects across the Austin area. About the Opportunity / What You ll Do
Assist with installation of commercial fire sprinkler systems on new construction and retrofit projects
Work with black iron, CPVC, and copper piping systems
Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe for fire suppression systems
Install hangers, supports, valves, and sprinkler heads
Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings (Fitters)
Work alongside experienced foremen and crews on active job sites
Maintain safety standards while working in fast-paced construction environments
Qualifications / Who You Are
Apprentices:
6 months to 2+ years of construction or mechanical experience preferred
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Willingness to learn fire sprinkler trade and grow long-term
Strong work ethic and reliability
Fitters:
2+ years of commercial fire sprinkler installation experience
Experience with threading, grooving, and installing pipe systems
Ability to read blueprints and work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of NFPA standards is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
Apprentices: $18 $24/hr
Fitters: $24 $32/hr (based on experience)
