TradeSTAR is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician for a client opportunity in the San Antonio area. This is a great opportunity for a licensed Fire Alarm Technician looking to put their skills to work on commercial life safety systems while continuing to grow their career in the low voltage industry.
About the Opportunity / What You ll Do
As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will:
Install, service, test, and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm systems.
Perform device installation and terminations including horn/strobes, pull stations, smoke detectors, and related fire alarm components.
Complete panel terminations, system testing, and troubleshooting.
Diagnose system issues including ground faults and circuit problems.
Read blueprints and determine cable paths and device locations.
Perform inspections, certifications, and system documentation as required.
Work with NFPA 72 standards and follow proper installation practices.
Qualifications / Who You Are
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Active Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) required.
Experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting commercial fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of fire alarm components, wiring requirements, and system operation.
Ability to use testing equipment such as a volt-ohm meter.
Understanding of NFPA standards and fire alarm terminology.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a professional installation team.
