Your Role with the Company
The Project Manager is responsible for leading installation teams to success through planning, coordination and management/supervision of Fire Alarm and other Life Safety System installation and retrofit projects. The Project Manager will manage material and manpower scheduling and other logistics associated with successful project completion. This position will require time in the field as well as in the office and will require an individual well rounded in all aspects of the installation of fire alarm systems. This position is a combination of field superintendent and office project manager and only candidates who possess the ability to do both will be considered. Expect a 60/40 split between time spent in the office and the field.
Background Profile
5 -10 Years of Life Safety System Project Management.
Capable of Managing multiple fire alarm projects upwards of 500K in value each.
Ability to manage 3-5 million projects a year.
Ability to assist with design as needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Risk management and conflict resolution skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask
Excellent customer service skills
Manage manpower scheduling
Handle billing and take offs when needed
Assist with design as needed
Manage multiple access control, surveillance, and alarm projects in up to an exceeding 500K in value each.
Manage the pre installation planning with installation team, vendors, General Contractor, customers, etc.
Create project markups, read prints and other prep to prepare for submission to the authority that has jurisdiction
Manage the planning and installation of cabling with installation team.
Coordinate and Manage subcontractors and temporary staff.
Track and manage change orders, project hours, overages, man hours, etc.
Achieve installation success on time and under budget.
Manage project final billing.
Develop and maintain project records and deliverables.
