Fire Alarm Lead Technician Job Description:

The Fire Alarm Lead Technician oversees field crews, ensures installations meet code requirements, and supports testing, troubleshooting, and system commissioning. This role combines technical expertise with leadership to keep projects running safely and efficiently.
Lead and mentor Junior staff during pre-wire and trim out of fire alarm installation.
Install and terminate fire alarm equipment including smoke detectors, heat detectors, duct detectors, pull stations, strobes, and control panels.
Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting using meters and diagnostic equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to ensure accurate installations.
Coordinate with Project Managers and other trades to maintain project schedules.
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and NFPA codes.
Track materials and maintain jobsite inventory as needed.
Provide project updates and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within scope.

Basic Requirement:
Valid Driver s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Experienced running fire alarm jobs, or senior level installer with an FAL seeking growth.
