TradeSTAR is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Designer to support commercial and institutional projects across the fast-growing Austin market. If you re skilled with code-compliant layouts, CAD work, and project coordination, this role puts your expertise front and center.
What You ll Do
Create fire alarm system designs, drawings, and submittals.
Use AutoCAD or similar tools for layouts and documentation.
Ensure compliance with NFPA 72 and local codes.
Coordinate with PMs, engineers, and field teams.
Prepare riser diagrams, device plans, and material lists.
Who You Are
Minimum of 3 years of fire alarm design experience.
Strong with CAD software and blueprint reading.
Knowledgeable in NFPA standards and low-voltage systems.
NICET certification preferred.
