Job Position: Experienced Fire Alarm Technician

Pay Rate: $28-$30
TradeSTAR is hiring an Experienced Fire Alarm Technician for commercial low-voltage projects throughout the Austin area. We're looking for skilled technicians with experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and inspecting commercial fire alarm systems.
Responsibilities
Install, service, troubleshoot, and inspect commercial fire alarm systems.
Install, terminate, and test fire alarm cabling and devices.
Mount and install smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, horn/strobes, control panels, and other fire alarm equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and fire alarm plans.
Perform system testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation.
Maintain code-compliant installations in accordance with NFPA and local codes.
Complete service documentation and inspection reports.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members.
Qualifications
2+ years of commercial fire alarm installation and/or service experience.
Experience with fire alarm systems such as Notifier, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, Siemens, EST, Edwards, or similar.
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of NFPA 72 and commercial fire alarm installation practices.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and troubleshooting devices.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) preferred but not required.
