What You ll Do as a Fire Alarm Designer
Develop detailed fire alarm system designs, drawings, and layouts
Produce riser diagrams, floor plans, device locations, and wiring details using CAD or industry design software
Ensure all designs meet NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and project specifications
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Lead Technicians, and field teams to ensure seamless installation
Review submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation for accuracy
Assist with design revisions, product selection, and integration of advanced technologies
Support construction teams with design clarification and technical guidance

Who You Are
3+ years of experience designing commercial fire alarm systems
Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable local codes
Proficient with CAD platforms or fire alarm design software
Familiar with addressable fire alarm systems and device selection
Experience designing for commercial, institutional, or mission-critical facilities
NICET II or III preferred (or active pursuit encouraged)
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously
Valid driver s license and reliable transportation
