Fire Alarm Helper Job Description:
Provide assistance to senior level technicians while under mentorship to learn installation standards, construction trim out, technical wiring, and NFPA fire codes.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans to determine device locations and cable pathways.
Run fire alarm circuits, inside commercial buildings, trim out material on buildings under construction working under the supervision of a skilled mentor.
Install fire alarm devices including smoke detectors, siren/ strobes, pull stations, heat sensors, duct detectors, and relays.
Verify system functionality through continuity checks, voltage testing, and basic troubleshooting procedures.
Basic Requirements:
Valid Driver s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
1+ years installing commercial fire alarm equipment.
