Fiber Optic Technician Job Description:
The Fiber Optic Technician will be responsible for the installation, termination, and testing of fiber optic systems on commercial projects. This role includes fusion splicing, terminating LC, ST, SC, and anaerobic connectors, and performing system testing using OTDR equipment. Technicians must be capable of troubleshooting fiber and copper infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance.
2 5 years of experience in fiber optic termination, splicing, and testing
Proficiency installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC standards
Willingness to travel within Texas, including overnight stays as needed
Basic Requirements:
Must have Valid Driver s License and own transportation
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
