Fiber Optic Technician Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Pulling fiber cables between utility poles.
• Drilling and securing fiber cables with mounting hardware.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment.
• Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing.
• Fiber Optic Connector Terminations utilizing a UniCam termination kit.
• Using tools like ladders and aerial lifts.
• Following safety protocols.
• Reading and following maps.
• Planning work to meet deadlines.
• Keeping records of equipment.

• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and own transportation.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have all hand/power tools required.
• Must have an OSHA 10/30 construction safety certificate/card.
