Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities
-As a Commercial Apprentice Electrician, you ll work alongside licensed Journeymen and Foremen on large-scale commercial job sites. Responsibilities include:
-Pulling wire for commercial power and lighting systems
-Installing EMT conduit, supports, and raceways
-Assisting with conduit bending (offsets, kicks, 3- and 4-point saddles)
-Installing junction boxes, switches, receptacles, and lighting fixtures
-Assisting with underground layout, rough-in, and trim-out
-Supporting panel work and basic electrical terminations
-Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics
-Using hand tools, power tools, benders, and lifts safely
-Following NEC guidelines and commercial electrical safety standards
-Apprentice Electrician Qualifications (2 4 Years Experience)
This role is ideal for experienced apprentices ready to take the next step.
-2 4 years of commercial electrical experience
-Current Texas Apprentice Electrician License
-Experience pulling wire and installing EMT conduit
-Basic conduit bending experience preferred
-Familiar with commercial electrical tools and job site practices
-Ability to read prints and follow layout direction
-Strong work ethic and team-first mindset
-Reliable transportation to commercial job sites
