Large-Scale Commercial Electrical Projects | Direct Hire
TradeSTAR is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator / Safety Officer to support large-scale commercial electrical projects. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established electrical contractor committed to maintaining the highest safety standards across all job sites.
We are looking for a safety professional who can confidently enforce compliance, build strong relationships with field teams, and promote a proactive safety culture.
Required Qualifications
OSHA 500 Certification Required
3 5+ years overseeing safety on large-scale commercial electrical projects
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards
Proven experience conducting job site safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
Experience leading toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing training
Ability to enforce safety policies while maintaining positive relationships with field crews and leadership
Confident stopping unsafe work and implementing corrective actions when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 510 or additional safety certifications
CPR / First Aid certification
EM 385, CHST, or CSP (a plus)
Experience working closely with project managers, superintendents, and foremen
Strong documentation and reporting skills (incident reports, near-miss tracking, safety metrics)
Ability to travel between multiple job sites
Excellent communication skills with both field and office personnel
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and enforce all job site safety programs and policies
Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and client safety requirements
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
Lead safety meetings, orientations, and ongoing training
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses
Promote and maintain a proactive safety culture at all levels of the organization
