Your Role with the Company
Job duties will include both in-house and in-field duties.
- Design and program control systems for audio/visual equipment including projectors, screens, lighting, audio processors, and conferencing systems.
- Develop and implement custom control interfaces using software platforms such as Crestron, AMX, QSYS, or similar.
- Provide technical advice/support to the Team—internal technical expert.
- Integrate A/V systems with existing IT infrastructure and ensure compatibility with network protocols and security standards.
- Load and test code in the shop before deploying code to client’s location.
- Assist Customer Support Team with service issues.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and updates on A/V systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to A/V control systems promptly.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for A/V system users.

Background Profile
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Demonstrated success as a Customer Support Technician or Project Lead
- Advanced knowledge of sound, acoustics, video, lighting systems, control, networking, electric and basic power systems
- Advanced knowledge with Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), control systems, video processors, iAuditor, IP addressing and networking
- Thorough knowledge of construction drawings and schematics
- Proven ability to quickly discover errors in system drawings
- Proven ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Thorough knowledge of methods and equipment to test and verify system performance
- Good mechanical aptitude, hand tool coordination, use of hand tools common in electric and rigging trades
- Good judgment of distances and comfort with working at heights by ladder or mechanical lift
- Ability to lift as a routine task, 50 pounds or more, or push/pull or carry at least 50 pounds, without assistance
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and twist frequently
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to work regularly in demanding conditions in and around construction sites including, but not limited to, extreme cold and heat, and other confined spaces where it may be dirty and dusty
- Ability to handle stressful work situations and deadlines
- Excellent people and communication (verbal and written) skills; professional demeanor and appearance; able to diffuse frustrated customers while always being respectful; able to explain complex and technical information to laypersons
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation
- Authorized to drive company vehicle in accordance with Fleet Safety Program
- Able to work on school and house of worship premises
