Job Position: Commercial Telecom Technicians
Location: Temple, TX 76508
Pay Rate: $19-$25
TradeSTAR is partnering with a respected low-voltage contractor looking for entry-level to early-career structured cabling technicians for commercial projects across the Austin area. If you have hands-on experience and are looking to build a long-term career in telecom, this is a great opportunity.
What You ll Be Doing
Pull, route, and label Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cable
Install support structures like J-hooks, bridle rings, and cable tray
Assist with workstation outlet terminations (110-style, modular jacks)
Support closet buildouts and basic rack/patch panel work
Follow prints and direction from lead techs on commercial job sites
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
What We re Looking For
6 months to 2 years of structured cabling or telecom experience
Basic knowledge of low-voltage cabling systems and tools
Experience pulling and identifying cable in commercial environments
Familiarity with EIA/TIA standards is a plus
Ability to work on ladders and lifts when needed
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced techs
