TradeSTAR is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman for commercial construction projects in the Houston area. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed journeyman with proven leadership experience to step into a key role with top-tier electrical contractors.
As a foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing crews, managing job site operations, and ensuring high-quality electrical installations are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements:
Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR Registered)
5+ years of commercial electrical experience
2+ years of foreman or supervisory experience in a commercial setting
Strong understanding of commercial construction timelines and sequencing
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage and mentor apprentices and journeymen
Reliable transportation and valid driver s license
Must have hand tools and PPE
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise crews of electricians and apprentices on commercial job sites
Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and other trades
Ensure work is performed to code and safety standards (NEC & OSHA)
Maintain project schedules and delegate tasks efficiently
Conduct material take-offs and manage on-site inventory
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
Perform and oversee electrical installations including:
Conduit (EMT, Rigid) and cable tray systems
Rough-in and final trimPanel and transformer installation
Lighting and power systems
Testing, troubleshooting, and QA/QC
