Company Overview:

Established Texas  company is seeking a full time, experienced Designer with design experience in the commercial voice/data, electronic security, and Audio Visual verticals. The qualified candidate will have extensive experience designing Voice, Data, AV, Access Control/Security, and Surveillance systems. This position will use CAD software to provide layouts, detailed drawings, sketches, and diagrams related to low voltage systems installed in commercial, government, educational, and industrial structures. 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is required.

Your Role with the Company:

• Attend weekly coordination meetings with project team members
• Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using NavisWorks
• Generate installation drawings under direct supervision of senior designer and Pre-Con Manager
• Provide low voltage equipment layouts
• Review project submittals and Project Shop Drawings
• Plan work and achieve completion schedules
• Communicate with inner and outer office team members
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
• Audit and review models in Revit and Navisworks Manage.
• Manage / Update BIM Project Documents.
• Demonstrate understanding of construction requirements and include them in drawings.

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years as an electrical or low voltage designer
• Minimum 3 years of Revit Preferred
• Basic knowledge of BIM 3D
• Basic Knowledge of Navisworks
• Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code and commercial low voltage installation
• Self-motivated and ability to work with no to little supervision
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and own transportation.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule.
