Audio Visual Service Technician Job Description:
Perform detailed troubleshooting of AV systems, identifying faults in signal paths, cabling, and components.
Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure systems meet performance and safety standards.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, and software issues on control systems, amplifiers, and DSPs.
Execute firmware updates and configuration changes per manufacturer specifications.
Install and configure AV equipment including projectors, displays, microphones, amplifiers, and DSP processors.
Calibrate and tune audio systems for optimal sound quality and room acoustics.
Program and test control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron, BiAmp, QSC).
Perform terminations on Cat6, coaxial, and speaker cabling; label and document all connections accurately.
Provide on-site technical support and training to end users on system operation.
Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to ensure issue resolution and satisfaction.
Maintain accurate service logs, test results, and as-built documentation.
Track materials, tools, and equipment used during service calls.
Update project management and work order systems daily with detailed service notes.

Basic Requirement:
2 5+ years experience installing and servicing commercial AV systems.
Comfortable with cabling, labeling, signal flow, and reading system drawings.
OSHA 10 and/or manufacturer certifications a plus.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Willing to work flexible hours as needed for project completion.
