Your Role with The Company
As a Service Technician, you will troubleshoot and maintain existing network infrastructure and equipment and perform small installations and upgrades to existing systems. You will act as the front-line company representative setting the tone and reflecting the company s values in sometimes less than favorable situations where the end user may be experiencing technical issues with their service. You will be a self-starter who has mastered a technical understanding of network cabling and network hardware/software. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, maintaining a stock of replacement parts/equipment, keeping their fleet vehicle in good working order, responding to trouble calls, performing small installations and upgrades, providing training to end user staff, managing time sheets, and working a rotating on-call schedule. You are the ultimate customer service representative. You take great pride in keeping your networks online and work tirelessly to achieve client satisfaction.
Background
1-3 years experience working as a service technician interfacing with customers.
Well-versed in the installation, maintenance, testing & troubleshooting of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, coax, and fiber optic cables.
Must have good communication skills and always maintain a professional demeanor.
Ability to work independently, using sound judgment principles.
